To date the Alina Foundation has donated:
“I send our sincere thanks for donating the anti-bedsore mattresses to our hospice. We have never received such a valuable gift to support our patients. I would like to thank you once again both on behalf of the patients under our care and myself. We care for many patients who, due to the advanced stages of their illness, spend a lot of time in bed. Using these mattresses will significantly improve their quality of life; it will prevent bed-sores, which seriously affect comfort and shorten lives.” "Patients under the care of St Luke's Home Care hospice in Chojna have used the oxygen concentrator many times, benefitting from improved quality of life, and reduced feelings of breathlessness and fear of the possibility of suffocation. Oxygen therapy at home improves the health of patients. Benefits of this form of treatment include improvement in quality of life, lower incidents of respiratory infections and therefore hospitalisation, longer life for patients with chronic lung disease. Patients can be at home during treatment, which has a positive impact on their overall wellbeing. We thank you sincerely for your dedication, material support and the efforts you have put into work that supports our hospice." - Tomisław Przestalski – director of St Luke's home care hospice in Chojna |
