ChorzowThe hospice has a residential unit for 11 patients and cares for around 65 people in their own homes. It lies in one of the most densely populated areas of Poland, where there are only 2.2 hospice beds for every 100,000 inhabitants (there should be a minimum of 5 to 8). Each year the hospice looks after around 260 people.
