CYCLE EUROPE 2022
16 cyclists rode 982 km to raise £15,000 for Polish and Lithuanian hospices and Ukrainian refugees
After a forced break due to COVID, we were very excited to set off on our eleventh ride. And what a ride it was! We started in the beautiful Latvian capital Riga and biked through gorgeous and very flat countryside to the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, where we visited the first ever hospice in Lithuania. We then rode on to Poland and along the Baltic coast, visiting hospice teams in Gizycko, Bartoszyce, Elblag and Gdansk.
Along the way we delivered vital medical equipment to the five hospices we visited: beds, mattresses, medicines and more. We also funded medical supplies for Ukrainian refugees now under the care of Polish hospices. The ride raised an incredible £15,000 and several additional hospices received new equipment after the ride. Congratulations to all our cyclists for their amazing achievement, and huge thanks to everyone who supported us - we couldn't have done it without you. It is still not too late to help us support the work of Polish hospices by making a donation below. We pay all the Foundation's costs including the costs of the ride, so donations go directly to supporting patients and their families.
