CYCLE EUROPE 2024
13 cyclists rode 925 km (and more!) to raise £15,000 for Polish and Lithuanian hospices
|
This year 13 cyclists from England, Scotland, Poland, Lithuania and Canada conquered 925km and 7,141m elevation. The ride started in Prague and wove its way through the mountains and valleys on the border of Czechia, Slovakia and Poland, then across rural southern Poland to finish in Krakow.
Along the way we braved thunderstorms, cobbles and category climbs, but also enjoyed amazing food, warm hospitality and knowing that we were supporting a great cause. We delivered new equipment to 10 hospices across Poland and got to see their work first hand. Artur enjoyed the ride so much he kept going - and rode a further 1,000km to Vilnius to support the hospice there! A huge thank you to all the hospices we visited for your warm welcome and all you do for families and patients every day. Congratulations to all the riders for your hard work on the bike, and for raising over £15,000 for new equipment for hospices. Thank you to the companies that supported us once again, @Apo Media and Top Marks Bidding. Congratulations to all our cyclists for their amazing achievement, and huge thanks to everyone who supported us - we couldn't have done it without you.
