Dominika,12, lives in the border town of Cieszyn with her parents.
When Cycle Poland 2012 popped in, Dominika was using one of the beds provided by the Foundation. She had just had some serious chemotherapy and was in a cast from the waist down, but her dream was to go back to school next year. She was too ill to come outside to see our cyclists, so all 20 of us serenaded her through the window.
In February 2013 Dominika was declared healthy again. She has beaten cancer, and is looking forward to going back to school in September.
We would like to congratulate this fantastic young lady for her courage and determination, and for making us all laugh when we came to visit. Best of luck for the new school year.
