KoszalinThe St Maximilian Kolbe hospice in Koszalin celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013. The residential hospice, which cares for patients in the advanced stages of cancer, has 18 beds, spacious wards, toilets and a modern bathing facilities. The domestic care hospice provides care for patients in their own homes and loans equipment (including specialist beds, anti-bed sore mattresses, wheelchairs, walkers, suction pumps, inhalators and oxygen concentrators).
During Cycle Poland 2013 our team delivered two oxygen concentrators donated by the Alina Foundation. Hospice volunteers joined us for part of our journey from the hospice along the Polish coast. To date the Alina Foundation has donated:
