Nowy SaczThe Association of Friends of the Nowy Sącz hospice started in 2000, running a home care hospice and a pain treatment clinic. There are many kind people involved - doctors, nurses and non-medical volunteers bringing selfless help to patients and their families.
From the beginning the goal of the association was to set up a residential hospice in Nowy Sącz, as this town of over 80,000 inhabitants did not have such a facility. After many years of efforts, fundraising events and collections, the hospice accepted its first patients in 2012. It currently cares for 21 people.
