PoliceThe Police hospice is a charity staffed by volunteers. It provides free care for patients in the final phases of cancer and other terminal illnesses, and supports families during the death of a loved one and their period of mourning.
The hospice provides professional care for patients in their homes, thanks to the support of a doctor, nurse, psychologist, chaplain, social worker and medical and lay volunteers. The hospice also provides free loans of medical equipment, including specialised beds, oxygen concentrators, anti-bed sore mattresses, suction pumps and life support machines. To date the Alina Foundation and Cycle Poland have donated:
“In the name of the hospice and those under our care, thank you for your support. We wish you further successes in helping those who need your help.” "The contactless thermometers are part of every nursing bag and are used during every home visit. The electric scales helps us monitor the weight of ill patients. The walkers and crutches help patients get around their homes. The oxygen concentrator is used to provide air with a higher concentration of oxygen for patients, especially those with lung cancer, in their own homes. The blood pressure meter allows for precise measurement of blood pressure and is used during every visit. The inhalator is indispensable for patients with asthma, which gets worse with lung cancer. Thank you once again for remembering us and our needs. Your actions, directed towards us, motivate us even more to work on behalf of those who are sick or need help."
