SosnowiecThe mission of the St. Thomas the Apostle Hospice Association is to bring holistic medical, psychological and spiritual help to terminally ill patients, mainly those with cancer, and to provide support for families during the person's illness and during bereavement.
The goal of the hospice is to ensure quality of life for terminally ill patients, bringing help to their families in overcoming daily obstacles and develop volunteering in support of the hospice movement. The hospice has operated since 1997, and now cares for about 100 patients in their own homes at any one time. In 2012 the Alina Foundation and Cycle Poland donated five pulse-oxygen meters and two suction pumps. Read more on the hospice website |
