Włocławek
PTOP in Włocławek provides palliative care for children and adults in their own home. The organisation looks after about 110 people, and offers a drop-in clinic and rehabilitation facilities. They provide training for volunteers who visit patients, and provide support to families with children with serious disabilities. The organisation also organises activity days and trips for families.
The goal of this home care hospice is to allow terminally ill patients to stay in their own homes. To date the Alina Foundation and Cycle Poland have donated:
Cycle Poland visited this hospice in 2011 to see its work first hand. "In the name of the Directors and those under our care I send you our sincere thanks for funding the purchase of medical equipment. The replacement of worn out equipment is one of the greatest needs of our hospice. Thanks to the hospital mattresses tailored to hospital beds for adults and children, we can ensure our patients receive proper care and the comfort they deserve in their homes. The mattresses received from the Alina Foundation will be constantly made available to adults and children under the care of our home care hospice." - Zbigniew Kaczmarek, President Read more on the hospice website. |
