Rawa Mazowiecka
The Rawa Mazowiecka hospice provides medical care for patients in the final stages of a terminal illness. The care includes medical, psychological, social and spiritual help. It is provided by home care teams that include doctors, nurses, a psychologist and a physiotherapist.
Since 2000 the hospice has helped over 1000 patients from Rawa Mazowiecka and the surrounding area. The hospice tries to continually invest in specialist medical equipment essential in home care. Today it has oxygen concentrators, suction pumps, inhalators, infusion pumps, remote controlled beds, anti-bedsore mattresses, and wheelchairs. To date, the Alina Foundation and Cycle Poland have donated parcels of specialist bedsore dressings and five anti-bedsore mattresses. "The Hospice Association in Rawa Mazowiecka sincerely thanks the Alina Foundation for the purchase of specialist dressings for the treatment of persistent wounds. Your help will allow us to continue our ongoing care and ensure increasing quality of life for terminally ill patients." - Agnieszka Gorzka, President of the Association Read more on the hospice website. |
