BartoszyceA group of volunteers in Bartoszyce, including a doctor, nurses, psychologist, physiotherapist and volunteers supports people cared for in their homes.
The hospice team provides pain management and medical treatment to alleviate other symptoms of terminal illness. They also train and support families and carers. To date, the Alina Foundation has donated:
"When I told him that we could get a cushion for his wheelchair I saw so much gratitude in the patient's eyes that I wish I could have taken a photograph to show you" “The cushion arrived today :-) Thank you with all my heart. Our patient thanked us with eyes full of tears. It is in moments like these that we know we are doing the right thing. It is a great joy for all of us, which we want to share with you.” "Terminally ill patients with breathing difficulties in Bartoszyce and the surrounding region have great difficulty accessing a portable oxygen concentrator, which is essential for their survival. At the moment we have 6 functioning concentrators, which are constantly in use. The need is far greater so we were very happy to receive the donation from the Alina Foundation. Currently the oxygen concentrator has been lent out to a patient being cared for at home." - Marta Kosmala, secretary See hospice website: www.opiekapaliatywnabartoszyce.eu |
