KaliszThe
Kalisz hospice cares for around 80 people at any one time. This includes 20 places
in a residential hospice and around 60 patients supported at home, of whom
around 15 are children.
The hospice was set up to create a system of palliative care in the region, which would provide treatment and care for patients in the advanced stages of serious, terminal and progressive illnesses. Most of the patients have cancer. All services are provided without any costs to the patient. In 2010 the Alina Foundation supported the hospice by donating a suction pump. “Thank you very much for the gift that we have received” Wiesław Majewicz, Chair of the hospice See hospice webpage: www.hospicjum.kalisz.pl |
