Nysa
The St Arnold Janssen hospice in Nysa started in 1994. It currently cares for patients and their families through a residential hospice, home care and a palliative care clinic. A significant part of its funds has come from local businesses and individual donors.
To date the Alina Foundation and Cycle Poland have donated:
"The medical equipment donated by the Alina Foundation for the Nysa hospice will significantly improve the quality of care provided by the hospice team. The two low pressure anti-bedsore mattresses are the first of this type at the hospice. Together with the compatible pumps they are a complete high quality system to prevent bedsores in bedridden patients. The additional makes it easy to maintain cleanliness, which is very important for patients with wounds caused by cancer or bedsores. The transfer slides are a simple but very effective way for the team to move a patient. This makes the carer's job easier and prevents injury to the patient." - Joanna Filipiak, nurse Read more on the hospice website. |
