KoninThe St. John Paul II residential hospice in Konin, central Poland, has existed since September 2009. Every year the number of patients grows, as do their needs. The association also runs a home care hospice for adults and children, and a palliative care clinic. Care provided by the hospice is free.
Every year the number of patients grows, as do their needs. There is not always enough funding to meet those needs, so the hospice approached the Alina Foundation for help. In 2013, the Alina Foundation donated two bath hoist mattresses. „Sometimes it is difficult to express gratitude and then the simple words - thank you - contain everything we want to say. We want to thank you very sincerely for your help and support. It is a sign of your kindness and wish to help those who need it.” Ewa Kazimierczak, medical coordinator, Konin “Thank you very much for your help and your gesture of support for our patients” Agata Lagoń, hospice staff “We are very grateful for the support and help that you have given us. We treat every such gesture as a hand extended to those who need it most – our patients. The mattresses are vital during the daily nursing of those under our care.” Agata Kazimierska, coordinator See the hospice webpage: www.hospicjummaxmed.pl |
