ElblągOne of the first in Poland, in its 20 years the hospice has cared for the young and the old, the rich and the poor. As well as terminally ill patients, the hospice also looks after those with serious disabilities whose families cannot cope.
The hospice currently looks after around 65 people at any one time. Thanks to the hard work of our Cycle Poland cyclists, to date the Alina Foundation has donated:
The buggy that we provided is being used by Angelica, a young patient under the care of the hospice. Angelica is looked after by her grandmother, who was struggling to push Angelica’s old and heavy buggy. The new buggy will help Angelica get out and about, take part in activities and have more contact with others. At the same time, the physiotherapy room fitted out by the Foundation helps Angelica strengthen her delicate muscles to further improve her quality of life. "On behalf of the patients, volunteers and staff of Elbląg hospice we want to sincerely thank you for the gifts we received from the Alina Foundation. All this equipment is already being used, and will be used for a long time, by our patients, whose quality of life is our priority. Thank you for your heart and the great work of the whole Foundation team." - Anna Podhorodecka |
