Phil
I currently live in Colorado, but grew up in Chicago. In recent years, I've become an avid cyclist, and I've found the best way to experience any place, whether it be close to home or far abroad, is on two wheels.
My family emigrated from Poland in the late 1800s, and for various reasons has never really had the opportunity to return. I've wanted to visit the country since I was little, mainly so I could practice my (very limited) Polish and see the southern part of the country where we came from. After many years of putting it off, I've finally decided to take the plunge (my babcia, the last remaining Polish speaker in my family, is so excited!). And what better way to see the country than on a thigh-busting and mentally challenging ~1100km adventure that supports a good cause? I am covering all the costs of the ride myself so all donations go directly towards the purchase of medical equipment in support of Polish hospices. Please click below to donate. |
